Celebrating 10 Years of Showing Up, Serving, and Loving Our Community
For ten years, Behavior Genius has been part of the Carsyn Neille Foundation story.
What began as a relationship between organizations became something much more meaningful: a community of people who kept showing up for our families.
Over the years, Behavior Genius has given generously through monetary donations and in-kind gifts, provided volunteers, helped bring Rooms to Thrive™ spaces to life, and stepped in wherever CNF and our families needed an extra set of hands.
But what we remember most isn't a list of donations or projects.
We remember the people.
We remember the moments when Behavior Genius said yes.
Spotlight on Behavior Genius: The Heart and Soul of Our Partnership
One of the most meaningful parts of the Behavior Genius × CNF relationship is that this partnership has never existed only between organizations. It has been built through people, and, in many ways, through family.
Portia James
Portia didn't begin her journey with CNF with a title. She simply said yes. She listened to our families, sat with their stories, and captured their experiences with warmth and care. Whether she met a family at the beginning of their journey or as they were coming through the other side, Portia had a beautiful way of making people feel seen, heard, and worthy of being known. She became a warm embrace for our families and helped tell stories that continue to live in the heart of CNF.
That spirit of service eventually led her to serve for years on the Carsyn Neille Foundation's Executive Board, and today she continues to pour into CNF as a trusted mentor and advisor.
And she never showed up alone.
Her husband and children have stood beside her, volunteering, serving, and supporting the work in ways that allowed Portia to give so much of herself to our families. The love and support of her own family became part of the love they extended to ours.
A Decade of Showing Up

There is something especially meaningful about celebrating this relationship now.
Behavior Genius is celebrating 10 years of building its own organization—and CNF has had the privilege of growing alongside them.
We have watched them pour into their people, build their teams, and grow into an organization recognized as a Great Place to Work across their High Desert, Ontario (Inland Empire), and Northern California territories.
And through all that growth, one thing has remained constant:
They kept showing up for CNF.
They were building their own company while helping us build something, too. They were growing their own family of employees while helping us care for ours.
That is the part of this 10-year story we treasure most.
We didn't simply grow alongside Behavior Genius. We were loved, supported, and served by them along the way.
And for that, we are forever grateful.

There have been so many moments over the years when Behavior Genius has helped us turn an idea into something real.
They've helped clear and prepare rooms. They've helped build. They've helped deliver. They've helped create spaces of comfort for children who were going through some of the hardest moments of their lives.
They put together Pikachu puzzles for Josh's room.
They helped clear, empty, and prepare Lucas' room.
They've hosted lemonade stands alongside our kiddos. They've brought volunteers when we needed hands. They've given gifts, resources, time, and financial support.
And sometimes, the greatest thing they gave us was simply this:
They answered the call.

Behavior Genius has supported CNF in ways that are difficult to capture on a webpage because so much of what they've given cannot be measured.
It's the volunteer who showed up.
The person who stayed late.
The team that helped build.
The gift that arrived when a family needed it.
The lemonade stand.
The puzzle.
The room.
The story.
The phone call that began with:
“What do you need?”
And then, somehow, they found a way to help.
For ten years, Behavior Genius has helped us love our families well.
They've helped us serve.
They've helped us build.
They've helped us give.
They've helped us create spaces where families can breathe, rest, heal, and feel cared for.
And they've reminded us again and again that community isn't simply something you belong to. It's something you choose to be for someone else.

Over the years, Behavior Genius has supported the Carsyn Neille Foundation in so many meaningful ways. They have given monetary donations and in-kind gifts, provided volunteers for CNF projects, and helped bring Rooms to Thrive™ spaces to life. They have helped prepare and deliver items to families, cleared and prepared rooms, and stepped in wherever an extra set of hands was needed.
Sometimes that service looked like putting together Pikachu puzzles for Josh's room. Sometimes it meant helping clear, empty, and build Lucas' room. Sometimes it looked like hosting lemonade stands alongside our kiddos, giving generously, or simply answering the call when CNF needed help.
The contributions have looked different over the years, but the heart behind them has remained the same: Behavior Genius shows up.
Sometimes service is big. Sometimes it is as simple as putting together a puzzle. Sometimes it means picking up a tool and helping build. Sometimes it means giving. And sometimes, it simply means being there.
As we celebrate a decade of partnership with Behavior Genius, we are reminded of what can happen when a community chooses to care deeply, show up consistently, and give generously.
That's what community looks like.
